Raised in a New England beach town, Jamra is an eclectic alt-pop artist and self proclaimed “studio lifer”. You can find her in the studio daily, songwriting in Nashville’s emerging pop scene. With a raspy unique voice, she approaches her artistry honestly with a fresh mix of indie RnB, jazz, and pop.
The singer found music at an early age, creating and singing songs so often on the school bus that the driver once had to tell her to stop. She picked up guitar at age 8 and quickly found an outlet and passion for songwriting. Later she moved to Nashville and worked multiple jobs while juggling recording sessions, following the motto: “the better the song, the better the opportunity”. Soon the opportunities began to present themselves, in 2021 she signed a publishing deal with Big Yellow Dog Music, and now Jamra can be heard on multiple TV shows and ads worldwide with networks including Netflix, ABC, NBC, The CW, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.
In April 2023, after twelve years of dialing in her sound, Jamra released her Room To Breathe EP which quickly harnessed an audience after her song “Heart Light” was featured in Netflix’s original movie “A Tourist’s Guide To Love”.
Jamra is currently back in the studio and excited to release more music in the near future.
